Following the 2020 Blind Sport New Zealand Annual General Meeting, we are pleased to announce our board for the coming term. We're excited to have some fantastic members onboard to continue the work of Blind Sport New Zealand in 2021 and beyond.
Re-joining the board after several years are Dennis Wells and Gary Williamson. A vision impaired athlete himself, Dennis has competed in several sports, and has held governance roles at an international and club level. As a Blind Sport New Zealand board member, Dennis looks forward to supporting the development of sport opportunities for individuals who are blind or have low vision.
Gary has participated in various blind and low vision sports at an international and social level, and hopes to support athletes of all levels to reach their full potential. Gary brings several years of governance experience across a range of sports boards and committees.
Following their election to the BSNZ board last year, Kellie Dore and Kate Lyon are continuing their term, whilst Donna McCaskill and Kieran Wall have been re-elected for another term. Kieran will be taking up the role of BSNZ Chairperson.
The Blind Sport New Zealand board and staff are now looking forward to 2021, with lots of exciting plans in the works.
