Six year old Tallulah loves to try out new sports. As part of our Athlete Spotlight series, we talked to vision impaired Tallulah about all the different sports she is involved in.
Since a young age, Tallulah has been going out mountain biking on her tow behind and more recently, she’s started skiing with Oahu ski club. With her new skiing skills, Tallulah can now join her dad and brothers out on the slopes.
Skiing and mountain biking aren’t the only sports keeping Tallulah busy. She also loves to go climbing at the Twizel Climbing Wall.
When we asked Tallulah what one of her favourite memories is, she told us that attending the Adaptive Snow Sports Festival in Queenstown was lots of fun, and she learnt lots of new skiing skills.
For Tallulah, the best thing about sport is the freedom that it gives her, whether it’s hitting the slopes, climbing, or getting out on her bike.
Are you interested in trying out some of Tallulah’s favourite sports? Or is there another sport that you would like to try? Check out the list of sport opportunities on our Sports page, or get in touch with Casey at casey@blindsport.kiwi to find out how you can get involved.
