New Zealander Mary Fisher (above) has started where she left off at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, winning Gold in the pool at RIO2016.
Fisher, who had been tagged as an ‘Athlete to Watch’ at the Games by the International Paralympic Committee, ran away with the Gold Medal in the Women’s 100m Backstroke S11, setting a new World Record in the process.
The Kiwi Para-Swimmer took the final in a time of 1minute 17.96seconds.
